For the 2019—20 season, LMRL will be offering two distinct development programs at the U12 level.

The programs are designed to offer a more flexible approach to development that will meet the needs and goals of all athletes in the division. Athletes will be able to self identify and register for either of the programs based on the information and criteria provided.

Registration closes September 15th 2019.

  • Both programs will have the same LTAD stage appropriate features:
  • 3-6 hours per month
  • Approximately 14 weeks long (October- Jan/February)
  • Co-ed

Program 1: Competition Introduction Program

Cost: Approximately $350 (Program cost subject to change based on registration)
When / Where – Saturday mornings / Delta Planet Ice

This program is geared towards 2nd year U12’s and advanced or highly competitive first year u12s who are looking to experience an introduction to elite ringette as a stepping stone into the Zone Division program at U14. This program will initially feature practices and then players will be drafted into teams part way through the program and will compete against each other in structured games. Off ice training and team building activities will also be introduced.

Program 2: Skill Development Program

Cost: Approximately $150 (Program cost subject to change based on registration)
When / Where – Saturday Mornings / Rotation through various associations in LMRL
* some variation in time / ice may occasionally be on sunday morning*

This program is geared towards 1st year U12s and newer athletes to ringette who are looking for additional opportunities to develop basic ringette skills. The program will feature a high instructor to participant ratio and players will acquire and improve skating and ring skills. Power skating sessions will be incorporated throughout as well as controlled scrimmages towards the end of the program.
