Zone Tryouts for all LMRL athletes will take place at Langley Sportsplex from Aug 22-25th.

For the 2024/2025 season we will offer the following Zone teams in the Lower Mainland:

  • U14 Female
  • U16 Female
  • U19 Female

To attend Zone Tryouts, you must be registered with your Home Association. No underage/overage requests will be accepted in the Zone divisions this season. You must register and attend tryouts in your birth year.

Tryout Fees

Cost to attend Tryouts is $100. This includes 2 skating/skills evaluations and 2 scrimmages. Registration fee should be sent via EMT (e-transfer) to president@lmrl.ca.

*Registration Fee must be received by August 10th.

Athlete Absences

All athletes wishing to play Zone this season are required to attend Tryouts. If you cannot attend all four ice times due to illness, injury or an unavoidable scheduling conflict, complete the Athlete Absence Form by Aug 10th.

Team BC & Excellence Ringette Program Athletes

All U16 & U19 Excellence Ringette Program athletes must register for Zone Tryouts.

  • Any athlete who accepts a rostered Team BC spot and opts OUT of Zone, before their first scheduled Tryout session, will be released from Tryouts and refunded their complete Tryout fee.
  • Any athlete who accepts a rostered Team BC spot and opts IN to Zone, before their first scheduled Tryout session, will only be required to attend the two scrimmages and will be refunded 50% of the Tryout fee.
  • Any athlete who has not accepted a rostered Team BC spot and/or is undecided on their decision to opt in or out of Zone at the time of their first scheduled Tryout session will be required to attend Zone Tryouts in their entirety and no refund will be given.

ZONE BOUNDARIES

In order to form viable Zone teams and provide competition in every division, the LMRL is using the framework of two regions: East (Zone 1 & 4) and West (Zone 2 & 3) this season. No changes to Zone boundaries have been made, however we anticipate several teams will consist of athletes from two Zones.

ZONE HEAD COACHES

Coaches have been selected for the 2024-25 season. We are still in need of one more head coach in each age division (U14, U16 & U19) and interested coaches should contact us to express interest.

The coaches are:

  • Chris Cronmiller (U16 Zone)
  • Amy Byrne (U16 Zone)
  • Lisa Cadeau (U19 Zone)
